Founded in 1997, the two co-founders of Open Spaces have 25 years of recruitment experience between them. The company was formulated to address strategic requirements in the market of IT resource provision. The company has enjoyed steady organic growth since its inception, based on our quality driven approach and customer focus.

We provide flexible IT resourcing and consulting services to organisations to help them improve their performance. Our service covers all skill sets and job roles, from mainframe and legacy systems to the latest client server, internet and e-commerce technologies.

Open Spaces provides strategic and technical consultancy expertise to both private and public sector organisations. With access to a resource pool of over 750,000 IT professionals, Open Spaces is able to meet the requirements of the entire spectrum of IT Recruitment. Candidates are available with experience of hard and software platforms, databases, languages, packages, and other software skills and as an extension to this knowledge, have specific experience of individual sectors within the public and private arena.

Public Sector

Open Spaces provides strategic and technical consultancy expertise to several public sector organisations. We are able to provide expertise in all areas including, architecture/network design, business case creation, operational efficiencies, project management, implementation, logistics, design, on going support and post implementation review. We not only have the benefit of working with government at both a strategic and technically senior level but also have the added experience of working in the private sector and can draw on this added knowledge base to advise on the most up to date strategic solutions often with first hand practical experience. Our breadth of Consultancy expertise is second to none in the Community, which has resulted in long-term strategic partnerships being culminated as a direct result of our ability to advise.


The REC

The REC is a not-for-profit trade association representing the recruitment and staffing industry in the UK. It has some 8,000 individual members and 6,000 offices in corporate membership, representing over 50% of the recruitment industry in the UK.

Its members range from small independent businesses to multi-national organisations. The REC seeks to promote high professional standards and good practice within the industry.

REC members are required to adhere to the REC Code of Good Recruitment Practice which is available to view on our website www.rec.uk.com. The REC Code of Good Recruitment Practice has been created in consultation with industry stakeholders to ensure that all members of the REC conduct their business ethically and to the highest standards.
