GIS Product Owner

The Role:
The companies Insight & Data team are looking to expand. The team specialises in the management and curation of the company’s geospatial data, due to high demand from the business they require a GPS Product Owner. This is a permanent role based in central London.
The team interfaces with a variety of senior stakeholders from across the business providing a number of tools & datasets to assist them and their departments, in the delivery of their day-to-day work.
The company is seeking a GIS Product Owner to take ownership and responsibility for the administration requirements gathering and content creation for the ESRI ArcPortal. An enterprise resource, ArcPortal has been distributed to the entirety of our UK business to fulfil a variety of business needs.
The role will focus on ensuring that the data held in our GeoSpatial database is used to best effect across our business and service lines bia the ArcPortal capability.
Key Responsibilities: 
Working alongside the GIS Data Service Manager to ensure that the data they curate in their geospatial server is delivered in a meaningful way to the business.
Requirements gathering from the wider business:
What data do they need, in what format and in what type of app to complement their work. These requirements once defined will then need to be implemented.
Producing communications for distribution to the business (or relevant parts) about new datasets or applications available with ArcPortal.
Creating documentation and help guides for maps, data and applications on the internal intranet.
Helping to trouble shoot issues and questions regarding ArcPortal to end users.
Assisting with aspects portal administration and liaising with the wider GIS analyst functions across different business lines in relation to maximising the potential of the ArcPortal resource.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
In depth knowledge of ESRI products including ArcPortal and assorted ArcDesktop tools.
High level understanding of PostGres/PostGIS SQL.
Takes initiative, strong ability to problem solve, highly organised with an aptitude to learn different processes quickly.
Excellent communication skills
Team player
Will accept graduates with a GeoSpatial University degree (with relevant ESRI software experience) through to a highly experienced GIS Analyst with multiple years of experience.
