The role will involve the following:  
  
Maintenance of the LLPG in line with the DCA (comparing and validating data form the Valuation Office Agency, Royal Mail PAF data, health checks, and changes from elsewhere in the local authority) and support for the LSG including address data, street naming and numbering, etc.  
  
Compliance with the EU Inspire Directive - Publishing open data to the correct technical data standards 
  
Data management and internal compliance - Ensure internal data and third-party obtained under the PSMA are shared appropriately and lawfully in line with licensing and GDPR. 
  
Software and system administration and support- Pitney Bowes MapInfo licensing, upgrades, user support [200 users] and move to concurrent licensing; development and day-to-day maintenance of web maps portal (Spectrum); renewal of relevant ICT contracts [e.g. tiles, A-Z maps]. 
  
User groups and training - Support to Information Management Strategy Group and GIS user groups; developing GIS training and capacity across Insight and beyond. 
  
Projects - Transformation programmes to replace iLap and M3 to support planning and regulatory services, public protection, development land, building control, street naming and numbering, etc. and bespoke projects including aerial surveys, thermal heat surveys, and satellite imagery.
